Metals Project Manager

RBS Sempra Metals is a leading Ring Dealing Member of the London Metal Exchange (LME) and specializes in the base metal, precious metal, steel and plastics markets.

We offer trading, market making and associated risk management solutions to our extensive client base, as well as providing innovative online trading solutions and market information and research.

Our Stamford, CT office is looking for a Project Manager for the following responsibilities:Works with Origination group on the negotiation and structuring of structured finance and offtake transactions.Leads contract negotiations and management of internal and external legal advisers.Coordinates of all aspects of financial, legal, commercial and technical due diligence.Management of all financial analysis and financial modeling.Management of professional advisors.Day to day liaison with Sempra Metals commercial heads.

Acts as liaison with RBS and Sempra Commodities to facilitate any Group approvals required for transactions.  Acts as ongoing liaison with RBS project finance team to identify and facilitate various project opportunities.

The successful candidate will posses the following background and competencies:Strong financial modeling and analysis skillsStrong interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsFinancial structuring capabilitiesExperience of commercial negotiation, preferably in banking or financial environmentGood commercial judgmentUnderstanding of market, credit and project riskExperience of working in a regulated environmentExperience in Base Metal commodities required.MBA and or CPA with minimum 5 years experience
