THIS IS A MID-LEVEL (4-6 YEARS) SQL SERVER DBA RIGHT TO HIRE POSITION IN JERSEY CITY, NJ.
Please note: the work hours are a 10/hr professional day; no paid overtime for any hours until hour 51 in any given week; WEEKEND & HOLIDAY support required (up to 3 weekends per month ~ weekends WILL BE PAID)
This is a 6 month RIGHT TO HIRE position & is a GREAT opportunity to gain invaluable industry experience at a Fortune 500 Global Investment Bank - the manager's focus is on SQL Server 2000/2005 Administration & Disaster Recovery experience.
MSSQL Server 2000, 2005, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Business Intelligence, Integration Services, log shipping and replication
Work independently in a diverse production and development environment
Work on Windows platform with 32 bit, 64 bit clustered and standalone servers
Build MSSQL Server 2000 and 2005 servers, backup / restore databases, monitor alerts, follow change management processes, performance tuning and trouble-shooting, setup/modify log shipping and replication
Work with log-shipped and replicated databases
Develop procedures for database monitoring, maintenance, backup, recovery and automated alerts
Follow change management and compliancy procedures
Must be willing to work during weekends and holidays
Experience in task automation
Team player with Good communication and written skills
