Middle Office Loan Closer - Asset Management

The Middle Office Closer will manage Par, Distressed, and new deal Origination transaction closings. This includes management of trade allocations and flows as well as reviewing documentation and coordination. The Closer coordinates the activities with Traders, Operations, Controllers, and external Servicing Agents and Customers.

Description:

• Monitor booking and closing of primary and secondary loan/non-loan transactions.
• Review TD/SD positions to ensure that trades have been booked correctly and adjust them as necessary. Work with traders to resolve any position discrepancies and prepare manual position reports if necessary.
• Review trade confirmations and complete blotters
• Review trade closing documents
• Coordinate closing. Work with customers, operations, borrower, agent, internal and external counsel to coordinate timing of settlements.
• Work with internal areas of the Firm to resolve issues related to trade bookings, closings and cash reconciliations (i.e. Entity, tax, legal issues related to loans/trades).
• Work with other areas of the Firm to establish policies and procedures for controlling, booking and accounting for new businesses.
• Ensure accuracy of P&L and work with Controllers to resolve any discrepancies.
• Develop standard position and exception reports to assist trading.
• Ensure that desk is in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Review Amendments and Waivers and distribute to the various desk when appropriate.
• Maintain various databases. Including administrative agent and borrower contact lists and customer administrative details, etc.
• Work on Fund Net Asset Value Reconciliations.

Candidate requirements:
• Undergraduate degree
• 5 or years par and/or distressed loan closing experience

• Good PC application skills particularly excel and access
