Middle Office Operations Specialist I

In the TD Banknorth Wealth Management Middle Office, the Middle Office Operations Specialist, processes variety of more complex administrative transactions on customer accounts. Utilizes extensive understanding of wealth management products, services and overall and procedures to process such transactions as new account openings or closings including compliance requirements, various asset receipts or deliveries, and other complex transactions. Ensures that work is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet; policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.Requirements: High School Diploma or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required. 3-5 years related experience required. In-depth knowledge of operational functions related to wealth management products, services and practices. Knowledge of the securities industry and terminology, including such terms as remainderman, donors, transfer agents and tax cost. Good initiative, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify appropriate contacts and facilitate asset transfers. Math skills. Organizational skills. Time management skills. Attention to detail. Interpersonal skills. Communication skills, both verbal and written.
