Mortgage Operations Specialist (60) - Middleboro

Under the general direction of the Mortgage Operations Manager, the Mortgage Specialist will be responsible for the closing, post closing, and delivery of mortgage files to specified investors.

The Specialist will also be responsible for strict adherence to investor guidelines as well as compliance to Federal and State regulations while providing the highest level of quality customer service. This includes but is not limited to the following: Perform post-closing review of all closed loan files to insure conformance with investor, federal, state and bank requirements and guidelines. Package and ship all loans to applicable mortgage investor(s) adhering to individual investor guidelines and requirements to ensure timely delivery and funding of loans. Prepare closing packages for mortgage loans working with closing agents to ensure accurate and complete documentation. Assemble and prepare all files in applicable order for the imaging process. Work closely with investor contact in monitoring and correcting issues and suspensions from investors to expedite funding. Track and obtain all outstanding documentation and corrections from closing agents to insure compliance. Assemble, prepare and ship all required documetation to mortgage assistance agencies, including but not limited to MHP, BHCI and FHLBB to insure swift reimbursement of upfront payments. Work closely with Loan Officers, Underwriters, Processors and closing agents to support prompt and accurate closings and timely fundings by investors.Required SkillsStrong computer skillsExcellent written and telephone communication skillsOutstanding customer service skillswith sound analytical and organizational ability.Required Experience3 plus years experience in a professional environmentMortgage banking experience preferred, not required.
