Mortgage Settlement Supervisor

This position is posted at a level 12 but it could be a level 14 DOE.Supervises mortgage division loan accounting activities and performs a variety of activities related to loan closing and funding. Supervises processing of application fees, refunds, rate locks, vendor invoices and other transactions. Coordinates with loan officers, sales management and others to manage loan pipeline and facilitate closing and funding process as loans are nearing completion. Supervises staff, assigning work and ensuring that activities are conducted accurately and timely in accordance with division policies and regulatory guidelines. Ensures that own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet; policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.Requirements: 4-year degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required. 5+ years related experience required. Thorough understanding of mortgage closing, funding, accounting and related industry practices. Strong knowledge of accounting processes and procedures as they apply to loan funding, fees and other transactions. Knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines and criteria, insurance requirements, laws and regulations required. Organizational skills, including ability to evaluate and streamline operational processes and procedures. Supervisory skills required.
