Network Architect

Our client in Charlotte has an immediate need for a Senior Level Infrastructure Architect (CCIE Preferred) . An ideal candidate with have enterprise network design, architecture, and project management experience. Below you will find a list of required technical and functional skills and knowledge.



Requirements
Technical Expectations:
Cisco-based Ethernet switching technology (IOS & CatOS), specifically security features
RADIUS, Cisco Secure ACS
Network Access Control technologies
IP Routing and routing protocols
Enterprise LDAP Directory systems
Router and switch Access-Control Lists
Microsoft Windows Active Directory system and components
IP QoS approaches
CCIE and CISSP preferred

Functional Expectations:
When possible, adhere to the Sundown Rule: anytime someone contacts you, whether it’s a customer or employee, respond no later than the end of the day. Have an answer, a solution, an update on your progress in finding one, or acknowledge receipt of message/request.
Verbal and written communication must be very strong.
Core Team Member:

1. Understand and adhere to Systems Development Lifecycle and the OTE Operating Model
2. Provide planning, tracking and estimating data and metrics as needed
3. Maintain awareness of overall project plan and status, and participate in project tracking activities as needed
4. Execute assignments as required by plans
5. Communicate risks and issues as they are identified
6. Understand specific project roles and responsibilities
7. Agree to project commitments
8. Understand project scope and assist in scope management and change control

Lead Architect (responsibilities include but are not limited to):

1. Understand the long-term business objectives and suggest strategies to meet those objectives
2. Understand and comply with the Technology Services Systems Development Lifecycle methodology, as required

Deliverables/Goals:
Define, build, test, implement, and support the following:

1. Support implementation of network authentication system (main focus)
2. Assist with the integration of existing and emerging tool sets
3. Desktop client integration and support
4. Support technology deployment
5. Support Program Technical Lead (SME)
6. Define requirements for Metrics and Monitoring Tools
7. Weekly status report/update to Program Technical Lead
