Network/System Administrator

We are currently looking for a Network/System Administrator in our Santa Fe, New Mexico IT Department. The Network/System Administrator will serve as a part of the System Administration and Network Teams to maintain and support the company's LAN/WAN, security, servers, and systems.

 

Position responsibilities include:

Monitor and maintain routers, switches, firewalls and other network equipment for local and wide area networks. Ensure network reliability, availability, and security.  Administer proxy servers, VPN accounts, RSA accounts and other security and network services. Monitor and maintain assigned Windows, Linux and Apple servers.

 

Stay up to date with governmental and industry organizations providing security alerts. Disseminate virus and security threat information quickly and efficiently.

 

Work as a member of the IT System Administration team to conduct security assessments, evaluate emerging technology, and support the company's information systems.  Must be willing to travel to other company locations as needed. Lead and participate in IT projects. Thoroughly document all tasks and procedures.

 

Essential Requirements:

 2+ years in WIndows and Linus/Unix administration, system support, workstation and server setup, LAN connectivity, internet communications, data backup, etc.2+ years in Data network Design and Network Security with detailed knowledge of routers(Cisco), RAS, switches, DNS, servers, firewalls, VPN, wiring and communications in a LAN/WAN environment.3+ years extensive experience and knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols and analysis.Ability to articulate security policies, procedures and guidelines. Ability to develop effective proposals and recommendations for securing the information assets of the firm.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.Good Administrative and organizational skills for documentation and project management.
