Online Financial Services Marketing Consultant-8 Month Engagement
M Squared's client is a large diversified Fortune 100 Financial Institution. The client needs two consultants for this engagement-one for credit products and one for deposit/investment products. The work is expectded to take 8 months(through the end of the year). The successful candidates will have strong online campaign execution and planning experience in a financial services environment. These positions will be paid W2'd and the consultants will be benefits-eligible for the term of the project. Benefits include Medical, Dental, 401k and more! Interviews will take place ASAP, with a mid- April start date. Consultants will work full time(40/hrs per week) in the client’s downtown San Francisco office. There will be no travel involved with these projects.

Project Description:
The consultant will work with other internal online team members to develop the online marketing strategy for specific consumer credit products and/or deposit & investment products. Responsibilities include developing the marketing plan, designing programs/campaigns, and monitoring campaign execution/progress. The consultant will also leverage customer analysis and campaign performance to generate insights, create targeting strategies, and develop hypothesis testing. Specific responsibilities will fall into two general areas as follows:
1) Market Strategy, Planning and Analysis (60%)
o Partner with credit and or deposit/investment product line of business and other internal teams to help develop the internet marketing strategy
o Understand the line of business marketing portfolio and online's contribution to results compared to other marketing channels
o Create the overall internet marketing plan for assigned credit products; including sizing business opportunities, prioritizing and timing of tactics, and estimated results
o Manage the calendar of programs/campaigns to support the plan
o Collaborate with the analytics team to develop insights about online buying behaviors, key predictors, target segments, etc. for specific product groups
2) Campaign Definition, Design, and Management (40%)
o Collaborate with the marketing channel execution teams to design the targeting and testing strategy for campaigns
o Determine the creative strategy and develop creative briefs
o Work with the traffic coordinator and agency to review/approve creative assets
o Monitor status of campaigns, identify issues, and determine resolution
o Collaborate with the analytics team to evaluate campaign results and then change/refine marketing plan and tactics
o Communicate status and performance against marketing plan to line of business partners
Industry Experience:
o Financial services experience (banking, insurance).
o Marketing experience in home finance, card, personal lines of credit, wealth management and deposit is highly preferred.
Functional Experience:
o Deep expertise in B2C, data base/ direct marketing experience
o Strong internet marketing experience
o Program/project management skills
o Extensive marketing strategy, planning and execution experience
o Solid experience in leveraging customer segmentation to develop marketing tactics
o Strong business strategy and analysis skills
o Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
