Operational Risk Support Analysis

Description:Department Summary:The mandate of the Operational Risk Management team is to monitor, identify, analyze, measure and control potential operational losses. The department encompasses the Business Operational Risk, Fraud and Security functions. All of these functions will work together performing reviews; assessments and investigations aimed at assessing and mitigating the risks to the institution raised by new products, new or changed activities, processes and systems. Job Summary:The Operational Risk Support Analyst is responsible for ensuring proper support of all operational management functions, including reporting, policy manual development and ensuring a coordinated approach to the ING scorecard. The role must be pro-actively addressing future needs, properly follow-up on incidents, remediation action tracking, KRI reports and improving upon the overall operational risk framework. The ultimate goal is to provide the tools and support to the business to improve management insight of operational risks, improve operational controls and develop an operational risk profile which fits the risk appetite of the Board of Directors and ING DIRECT NV.Essential Functions:Conduct monthly operational risk reporting for the Operational Risk Committee.Coordinate the ING scorecard process and ensure all elements/rules are clarified with ING DIRECT NV, staff are assigned to follow-up on various elements of the scorecard, items are being addressed to exceed ING DIRECT NV targets and evidence is submitted into ING systems within specified timelines.Coordinate local and ING Group NV operational risk incident reporting while ensuring proper remediation actions are taken and periodically analyze reported operational loss incidents to provide better insight into the costs associated with operational risk enabling earlier and better mitigation actions.Regularly monitor the GL to identify operational losses and periodically report such incident reporting reconciliation efforts.Coordinate the Key Risk Indicator reporting for all business lines, identify means to automate and improve the reporting, suggest further enhancements and ensure proper follow-up to deteriorating indicators. Ensure all AO Scan risk remediation actions are entered appropriately, followed up in a timely manner, reported upon and properly closed. Ensure coordination of SOX findings with the SOX team.Participate and support the various risk assessments conducts by other members of the operational risk team.Look for areas of enhancing a proactive operational risk monitoring system.Conduct periodic gap analyses of ING policies and recommend further action.Maintain up-to-date all operational risk related manuals and develop ones where they do not exist.Work on special projects in all facets of Operational Risk Management as assigned by the Head of Business Operational Risk.Qualifications:Experience & Qualifications:An Undergraduate degree from an accredited University a must, preferably with a specialization in finance, accounting or economicsMinimum of 3 years related work experience in a banking or finance environmentMicrosoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, AdobeAbility to communicate effectively and meeting tight deadlinesEducation and/or Certifications:An Undergraduate degree from an accredited University, specialization in finance, accounting or economicsSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceING DIRECT offers one of the best benefits plans around, providing medical and dental health coverage; flexible spending accounts; 401K retirement plans and fitness programs.Job Location: Wilmington, DEJob Number: 6055Company Profile:Why join the ING DIRECT team?
