Operations Support Associate

We are delighted that you have chosen to explore the career opportunities available with Everbank Primary Characteristics: Supports Bank Operations by processing wire transfers, exception items, bank check requests, dormant account maintenance, ATM / VISA disputes, closed accounts; by monitoring and reconciling bank account and general ledgers; and by processing large dollar items. Essential Functions: 1. PROCESSES WIRE TRANSFERS • Verify customers signature, balance and identity on all outgoing wire requests • Enter all information on outgoing wires transfers into the wire system • Communicate with wire department regarding processing of wires, error resolution, and customer issues • Verify all incoming wires • Credit customer accounts for incoming wires. Process wire return if the information is incorrect • Check wire transfers against the OFAC data base for possible matches 2. MONITORS ACCOUNTS, LARGE DOLLAR ITEMS AND TRANSACTIONS • Verify signature, date, amounts and endorsement on large checks and over presented for payment • Review and monitor employee transactions • PLUS Deposits and float adjustments • Review and monitor OFAC list for questionable transactions and matches 3. RECONCILES EVERBANK’S TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS • Complete the daily debit card proof • Complete the daily credit card proof • Complete the daily offical bank check reconcilement • Complete the daily reconcilment for all GL accounts that NBG NY is responsible for. • Complete daily bank reconcilement for all bank accounts that NBG NY is responsible for • Complete the monthly reconcilements • Process financial transactions for the reconcilation department 4. PROCESSES CLOSED ACCOUNTS, BANK CHECK REQUESTS, DORMANT ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE • Complete customer bank check request by verifing signature, payee information, funds availablity and mailing information • Close accounts following the close account procedures • Verify signatures, account information, holds/floats, funds availablity and mailing instructions on closed accounts • Process express mail delivery of bank checks when requested by the customer • Verify signature and process dormant account resets for notices returned by customer 5. RESPONDS TO ATM/VISA DISPUTES • Review and verify ATM/VISA debit disputes • Complete, analyze and transmit dispute documents for processing • Verify all bank regulations regarding disputes are followed 6. MAINTAINS EXCEPTION OPERATIONS • Review and decision overdrafts on customer accounts • Review and decision non-post debit/credit items on customer accounts • Review and decision stop payments on customer accounts. 7. MAINTAINS BANK OPERATIONS • Follow all established policies and procedures reporting any needed changes • Monitor bank operation policies and procedures and update when needed • Comply with all Local, State, and Federal banking regulations 8. MAINTAINS CUSTOMER CONFIDENCE AND PROTECTS BANK OPERATIONS • Adhere to the rules and regulations of the Privacy Protection act. 9. CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT • By completing all duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Basic math and data entry skills, good computer skills (MS Windows – Excel, Word, Outlook). Training and Experience: Minimum three years or more experience working in a banking environment, including one year back office operations, reconcilement or wire experience.
