The key to success in this position is asking questions, learning the business challenges of each client, and developing credibility and strong relationships with internal departments in order to facilitate solutions to business issues. LocationThis position is located in Houston, Texas offices of AIG Retirement Services.Organization Structure and Key RelationshipsThe position reports to the Director of Organizational Effectiveness. This position works closely with other HR teams including Staffing, Compensation, Reporting and Employee Relations, as well as several operational areas such as Marketing & Communication, Field Sales, Operation Administration and Accounting.Performance ObjectivesManagement Consulting: Within 6 months;- Lead and facilitate projects independently and as part of a team.- This includes process mapping, scheduling, leading and reporting results from team meetings- Present results to the executive sponsorsRedesign On-boarding process: During the first 4 months;- Develop a comprehensive understanding of existing on-boarding processes used in the various regions and the corresponding business needs. - Design and develop a new on-boarding process for advisors to be implemented by all regions in 2008. Coaching & Feedback: During the first 90 days- Design and implement various feedback programs- Manage High Performance Coaching Program by managing coaching engagements and collecting and reporting on all ROI results.Succession Planning: Within the first 90 days; - Develop a comprehensive understanding of the current process and tools used to manage our CORE talent. - Assist with the development and implementation of a new succession planning process for AIGRS. - Manage and report on key CORE data to AIG Corporate and AIGRS leadership.Position Requirements:The ideal candidate for this position needs to have at least 2 years experience in internal consulting and project management. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in HR, OD/OE or Business. Professional skills must include facilitation, project management, change consulting, talent management and problem solving. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with on-going deadlines is essential.
