Part Time Tellers

TYPE:Part time, non-exempt

SUMMARY:  Working independently, provides a high level of quality member service by assisting members with daily transactions including deposits, withdraws, transfers, loan payments, etc. while referring products and services designed to build valued relationships. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  May perform any of the following duties and responsibilities:Opens and/or closes branchWorks independentlyOrders cash supplies, assists with cash audits, balances branchSupports sales & service culture by promoting CME and referring available servicesRepresents CME in a courteous and professional manner, and provides prompt, efficient and accurate member servicesProvides back up for other department personnel as directed by department managersReceives checks and/or cash for deposits, loan payments, or disbursement; verifies amounts and authenticity; examines checks for endorsement and negotiability; and enters transactions into bank records via an on-line financial platformBalances currency, coin, checks, transfers, disbursed money orders, disbursed travelers checks, and cash advances using an on-line financial platform and/or calculatorsExplains the features & benefits of different available products and services to best meet the members needsAccepts other duties as assigned by Assistant Vice President of Operations, Lead Member Service Representative, and/or Lead Financial Services OfficerMay be required to travel to and work in other branchesMay be required to obtain additional training, education, or attend seminars related to job requirementsAchieves individual referral goalsDemonstrates and promotes electronic servicesFlexible schedule with a minimum of three Saturdays per month

 

EDUCATION:  High School diploma or equivalent required.  Related college courses in preferred.

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum one year consistent sales and/or cash handling experience required.  Minimum one year experience as a Member Service Representative with another institution preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Generally good.  Little discomfort experienced from such causes as noise, heat, and dust.  May experience some discomfort from outside weather conditions while performing duties of the job.  Job may require repeated motion.  May occasionally experience some physical fatigue sitting or standing for long periods of time.  May be required to do light lifting (under 10 pounds).
