Portfolio Manager

JOB FUNCTIONThis position is to assist in the development of short and long-term investment strategies, manage or assist in the management of bond and equity investment as well as provide advice and guidance to less experienced investment officers.  Candidate will service existing investment management and trust clients and support the sales effort to increase AUM within market.  This position is also responsible for keeping informed of developments in security markets, using fundamental or technical research to arrive at sound and timely investment suggestions for senior management.  They will initiate action to purchase and sell portfolio securities.  This person will confer with clients to develop investment objectives and investment policy statement and provide advice and guidance to existing and prospective clients.  They represent the investment arm within market and acts as resources for both Wealth Management and other bank divisions.  REQUIREMENTSA qualified candidate is required to have a college degree with a preference in finance, accounting or economics and a minimum of 5 years experience in portfolio management, and Chartered Financial Analyst designation.  Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer contact and internal presentation.
