Apply your mind, heart and entrepreneurial talents with the industry’s leading team, and discover why top-performing mortgage professionals excel with us.  * December 2006 SEC filing.  Production Assistant – Retail  Primary Responsibilities Include:·  Supporting high-producing External Home Loan Consultants (EHLCs) in growing incremental-realtor and builder business for the Home Loan Financial Center ·  Acting as the contact person for EHLC loan-inquiries and status-requests·  Providing ongoing loan-progress updates to realtors, builders and other existing and prospective business partners·  Taking incoming calls, quoting rates and performing pre-approvals·  Supplying fulfillment materials·  Taking loan applications·  Producing closing-cost estimates·  Supporting the up-front loan-disclosure process·  Scheduling appointments·  Conducting routine mailing-campaigns·  Handling loan file point-of-sale work-ups and submitting to Loan Specialists for credit updating, appraisal, title, etc.·  Advising potential borrowers regarding appropriate loan-programs and the loan process·  Coordinating appointments for EHLCs, business partners and customers and coordinating EHLC participation in events (i.e. open houses, builder grand-openings, etc.)·  Supporting the EHLC's personal marketing-plan·  Pursuing external business-sources (i.e. realtors, builders, etc.)  ·  Preparing, assembling, ordering and distributing sales materials, flyers, etc.   A Successful Candidate Will Have:·  High school diploma or equivalent·  3+ years of mortgage-banking and/or financial-services experience·  Experience with loan-application processing and/or administrative support·  Basic knowledge of conventional (conforming and non-conforming), FHA and VA loan-products·  Ability to originate and process all loan-types·  Working knowledge of pre-qualification principles and practices·  Understanding of the selling process·  Excellent communicational, organizational and teamwork skills·  Ability to work flexible hours (with mandatory availability on weekends)·  Proficiency in a variety of software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)   The Ideal Candidate May Also Possess:·  Bachelor’s degree·  Knowledge of the realtor and builder segments of the mortgage industry·  Working knowledge of area-specific products (i.e. local bond programs, down-payment assistance programs, etc.)·  Knowledge of HELOCs, fixed seconds, etc.   Countrywide is committed to leveraging the talent of a diverse workforce to create great opportunities for our business and our people.
