Job ID: 1454 Position Title: Production Support Technical Analyst - CASWorking Location: Kansas City, MOEmployment Status: Full-Time RegularRequired Experience: 4 yearsRequired Education: Bachelors DegreeTravel Required: 10%Job DescriptionOne night shift opening (midnight to 8:30 am)One swing shift opening (4:00 pm to 12:30 am)Incumbents in this position will be responsible for managing and supporting the end-to-end activities of the Federal Reserve’s Paper check, Check 21/Treasury and FedImage products as well as researching and resolving issues and inquiries that may arise within these platforms. This position will interact with staff and management in FRB offices and/or other areas of the CAS organization in problem investigation, testing and implementation of fixes/resolutions, and dissemination and training of best practices to FRB offices. This position is also responsible for supporting contingency testing (offsite/onsite), developing and maintaining operational procedures, standards, and best practices for the CAS Operations Team. Staff in this position may be asked to manage and complete projects of medium to high complexity and provide detailed analysis, report(s) and/or recommendation(s) to CAS management in regard to problem tickets/issues, as well as any changes or developments within the various platforms. Travel may be required based on criticality and/or as necessitated by the business needs of the CAS organization. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed. 1.Work with districts/offices/customers to resolve issues; 2.Assist and interact with CAS units to clarify issues and doable workarounds as well as fixes; 3.Assist in communicating possible problems with CAS teams with respect to functionality, usage, interfaces and performance; 4.Answer functionality questions with regards to all software or hardware products and business requirements; 5.Assist in collaboration with development teams on technical and functional design issues; 6.Assist and /or conduct projects of medium to high complexity. 7.Attend training classes as offered, obtain technical certifications; 8.Perform other duties as may be assigned, including travel.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in business or computer technology or a minimum of four years in a technical support role in a check or automation operations environment are required. Candidates must exhibit strong analytical skills and initiative and a demonstrated ability to effectively respond to problems under deadline driven situations. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Technical proficiency in the following platforms or similar infrastructure are also required: 1.UNIX/AIX platform 2.Windows 2000/NT/XP Operating Systems 3.PC/server hardware and network configuration 4.Distributed check applications (SEIj's MICR8000 and IAE, IBM's iCPCS, FRB DTM, Carreker Archive and IRD, Fed EWA, etc.) 5.Mainframe systems (CPCS, PBS, CLAS, etc.) 6.IBM/Unisys/NCR check hardware components 7.
