Programmer Analyst

Our expanding IS Department located in the Byberry Industrial Center in the far N.E. Phila. area has an immediate opening for a programmer analyst. The qualified individual should have the knowledge to define, develop, test, analyze and maintain new software applications in support of the company requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing and analyzing software programs and applications. This position requires the ability to write programming scripts to enhance the function and/or performance of company applications as necessary. Also required is the ability to generate statistics and written reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process. The ability to develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines as well as train end users to operate new or modified programs is required. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures, assist in defining software development project plans, and administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas. Additional requirements require a software engineering, and/or 4 years equivalent work experience. Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including Visual Basic is a plus. Experience programming within Symitar a plus, but not required.
