Project Lead II

Provides leadership for the management, cost control and execution of new systems development projects, enhancements and system release upgrades. Able to visualize the end results and articulate that vision to the development team and the business stakeholders. Leads IS, Operations, Client and Vendor team members to achieve project objectives.Leads and has direct responsibility for one or more projects with combined budgets typically in the cost range of $100 thousand to $1 million, 10 - 30 team members and medium complexity. Manages project scope, manages risks, resolves issues, manages meetings and drives projects through to completion with minimal supervision. Manages and coordinates resources from a variety of functional areas. Allocates assignments to and coaches project participants to ensure completion of project tasks within time, budget and quality standards. Provides feedback on team member performance. Effectively manages time to carry stretch workloads. Understands how, when and to whom to escalate issues in a matrix working environment. Projects may include internet, distributed and mainframe technologies. Stays current on technology trends and makes recommendations where appropriate. Lives corporate values and operating principles and coaches other team members where exhibited behavior is in conflict with values.QualificationsFour-year degree required. Three or more years of project management experience with internet, distributed or mainframe systems development efforts. Efficient with Microsoft Productivity Tools, experience with Microsoft Project and Visio a plus. Strong communication, organizational and management skills.
