For more information, visit State Street's web site at www.statestreet.com Project Manager, Assistant Vice President Job Description Position Overview:Project Manager / Business Analyst to support development, integration and maintenance projects for Foreign Exchange trading system in a fast-paced, global environment. Projects will involve a combination of packaged and internally developed applications used by State Street Global Market's trading operations (Boston, London, Sydney, Hong Kong, etc.). Tasks & Responsibilities:- The role will focus primarily on the support of Wall Street Systems Foreign Exchange products which include FX, FXOTC, Derivatives and Futures. - The role entails working with Business Sponsors, Business Users, and Project Managers to poll key stakeholders, develop and refine requirements.- Define and prepare project documentation including: Project Definition Documents, Project Plans and Functional Specifications using standardized processes meeting both vendor and internal documentation requirements. - Facilitate and coordinate project meetings - Perform and document Unit or Systems Integration tests. - Effectively work with onshore and offshore QA teams to review test requirements and documentation. - Maintain weekly project status reports, issues and risk documents.- Assist Business users with UAT Planning and execution for new products and functionality. - Play support role in implementation and installation of major system implementations, upgrades and site conversions. Employee Specifications Baseline Skills & Qualifications:- Experience in Foreign Exchange or related financial business. - Excellent communications and facilitation skills- Experience using a structured software development and project management processes. Preferred Skills & Qualifications:- Practical trading experience and industry knowledge (front, middle, back office)- Hands on experience with one or more trading systems - Microsoft Office products - with strong knowledge of MS Project- Practical understanding of UNIX, Oracle, Middleware (MQ Series, etc.), PL SQL to do basic queries no programming.Personal Attributes & Required Experience:- 5+ years relevant work experience- BS/BA in a technical or financial area of study- Previous experience in financial services- Demonstrated ability to work in a global work environment- Excellent facilitation and written/oral communication skills- Strong attention to detailMisc: Infrequent travel to global trading sites may be required (once or twice a year)Click here to apply
