For more information, visit State Street's web site at www.statestreet.com Public Reporting Analyst Job Description This position is focused on the regulatory capital reporting and analysis for the corporation. The analyst will be working closely with State Street offices around the world as well as various business units in the Corporation. The candidate will conduct complex financial analyses to support decision making for Basel I and the respective risk-based capital reporting. This role will work closely with their manager regarding financial information needs and requirements. The analyst will conduct in-depth financial analyses on critical and complex issues regarding risk-based capital and Basel II as necessary. The analyst will work closely with the risk-based Finance team and the Basel II Project Team. He or she will work closely with senior managers to define information and analytical needs for Basel I. Monthly and quarterly internal report preparation as well as presentation material are part of the role. Responsibilities will include assistance and preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual reports that are due to various regulators. There will be close interaction with other projects in the Regulatory Reporting and Compliance group to ensure all requirements are met across projects. The analyst will prepare, analyze, and review internal and external financial reports that relate to the Basel I and II process. The analyst must conduct analytical research to identify potential exposure or problem areas for each report. The analyst must review work papers prepared by co-workers to ensure completeness and accuracy. This position requires strong communication skills and a great attention to detail. Experience in banking is preferred. The position also requires active participation in projects that have regulatory impact or exist for solving regulatory challenges. The analyst must be capable of developing and managing relationships across the company and with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge. The following details specific responsibilities for the role:Ensure the Corporation's compliance and correct reporting regarding risk-based capital calculations based on Basel I.Interact with Corporate Accounting and other areas of the Corporation, including BASEL II, to review regulatory reporting processes.Work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with multiple and competing priorities.
