QA Test Analyst

Job Summary:

The Test Analyst is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of system, user acceptance, and model office testing.  Focus for this position is to provide testing resources within an iterative Rapid Application Development team, using Agile Scrum.  Critical success factors include excellent communication skills and the desire to thrive in a changeable, fast-paced environment.  This TA must have career maturity, as well as be comfortable and successful working with multi-location teams via voice and teleconference.

 

Essential Functions for the Team Members:

·  Interactively participate in daily Scrum planning

·  Contribute to development and maintaining the Test Plan strategy.

·  Build, manage and/or execute the overall test process, using established QTC test Scrum methodology.

·  Prepare, specify, and execute test case scenarios.

·  Control and manage daily test activities.

·  Provide internal quality assurance.

·  Identify and report project risks.

·  Report on progress of the test process.

·  Ability to manage change during the test process, experience working with highly iterative projects.

·  Evaluate overall test process, assessing, reporting and managing risk factors

·  Administration of test control and statistics collection (i.e. problem reporting, defect tracking).

 

Experience & Qualifications:

·  At least 2+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Development Test Analysis

·  At least 1 year working in an Agile shop, utilizing Scrum, RAD, Crystal or other iterative test processes

·  At least 1 year working with Quality Center

·  Knowledge of Internet protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, etc.).

·  Knowledge of XML-based technologies, and encryption programming (SSL, etc.).

·  Knowledge of Windows and UNIX environments including AIX and / or HP-UX and Linux.

·  Knowledge of object oriented programming, C++ and Java.

·  Knowledge of the disciplines of Software Engineering with emphasis on testing.

·  Experience testing Client/Server and Web software.

·  Knowledge of Internet and enterprise software technologies including web and application servers.

·  Efficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio).

·  Experience testing Sanchez Profile considered a huge plus.

 

Education and/or Certifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

·  B.S. Degree, Computer Science, MIS or related work experience.

·  2+ years experience participating in complex test programs.
