Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Personal Trust, this position is responsible for leading the personal trust business in Beverly Hills and Westlake Village in growth, revenue generation and the delivery of trust services.
 Monitor business plans and manage and implement both strategic and tactical initiatives that support personal trust’s goals and objectives and maximize profitability. Develop internal Union Bank of California relationshsips to cross-sell trust to existing customers.  Manage and motivate staff by selecting, training, counseling, evaluating, rewarding and recommending promotion of subordinates.  Set goals and objectives for staff.  Attract, motivate and retain high quality additions to or upgrades of staff.  Deliver personal trust administration effectively and efficiently in a high level, high quality fiduciary manner including service delivery, cost controls, etc.
Recommend, develop and implement policy and procedural changes to ensure uniformity, efficiency, effectiveness and profitability. Ensure accounts are administered according to applicable law, regulations and policies.  Enhance client satisfaction and retention. Develop the business by calling on potential or existing customers or by representing the Bank at community activities as appropriate.  Become extensively involved in appropriate non-profit organizations that will raise the visibility of Union Bank of California and which can lead to new business opportunities.

Qualifications:  Has unquestioned and demonstrated ethical and moral standards, maturity, self-confidence and advanced interpersonal skills.Requires a comprehensive knowledge and experience in the trust business, estate planning, investment management, and fiduciary risk management as well as direct experience in managing professional trust staff. Knowledge would typically be acquired with 10+ or more years of progressively complex responsibilities in the personal trust business. Must demonstrate strong business acumen. Has experience in both line and staff functions, including strategic planning.  Legal training desirable. Must be visible in the community and able to serve on various community boards. Preferred certifications: CTFA, CFP, JD, MBA. Union Bank of California offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a 401K plan.
