Regional Lending Executive

Silverton Bank, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, is a leading national correspondent bank chartered specifically to serve the needs of community financial institutions across the United States.  We are looking for a Regional Lending Executive for our Tampa office.

 Job Summary

Senior position that manages the commercial loan and lending activities for a region. Reviews and recommends the region's lending objectives and procedures. Responsible for soliciting, developing and servicing a wide variety of commercial loans and lines of credit. Engaged primarily in loan management within region. Makes decisions on loans at the highest lending limits. Responsible for complete credit analysis/credit worthiness for the loan approval process.  Responsible for leading a team including Regional Lenders, Commerical Loan Underwriters, and Loan Documentation Specialist 

 

Major Responsibilities:Responsible for aggressivley soliciting, developing and servicing a wide variety of commercial loans and lines of credit.Qualifying prospects by collecting and analyzing financial and related data in order to determine the general credit worthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan requests.Overseeing the completion of the loan approval form, including careful underwriting of the loan so that the structure meets the needs of the borrower, customer bank and TBB.  Obtaining appropriate approval for the credit under consideration. Establishing and negotiating the terms under which credit will be extended to include pricing, costs repayment method and schedule, collateral requirements, etc..Collecting the loan.  Monitoring the performance of the borrower over the life of the loan. Recognizing developing problems and bringing then to the attention of management.Recognizing developing problems and bringing then to the attention of management.  For any credit rated Management Attention or worse, immediately developing a strategy to return the credit to pass rating, or exit.  Working with the borrower and originating bank to implement this strategy.Properly risk rating all credits. Pruning the portfolio of potential and identified problem loans. Monitor loan covenants.

Prerequisites:

Education: Completion of a bachelor’s degree program; Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or Masters preferred

Experience:  10 plus years of relevant experience

Skills/Knowledge:

Extensive Commercial Banking Market knowledge. Prior commercial lending/banking experience, strong credit and analytical skills and knowledge of bank services.  Current working knowledge of Commercial Real Estate Lending practices.Prior managerial experience and leadership of a gropu of lenders and underwriters.
