Regional Marketing Manager

Affinity Bank is an established financial institution with headquarters in Ventura, California and offices strategically placed within the Western United States. In addition to our retail banking, we also specialize in wholesale income property loans, construction loans, asset-based lending and business banking products and services. We continue to experience tremendous growth opportunities through sound business investments and acquisitions.  Because of our growth we are currently seeking a Regional Marketing Manager for our Costa Mesa, CA location.

Purpose: 

The purpose of this position is to originate new business for the Business Credit Division.

 

The Business Credit Division provides secured loans to health care providers.  It will also provide secured loans to companies in other industries.  The goal of this position is to market the various loan products to new and potential customers. This position will oversee a regional geographic area and may work with Affinity Bank branches to provide synergy for direct sales and referrals to the business banking group. 

 

Major Job Duties:

· Source new secured financing lending relationships through new and existing referral sources such as Accounting firms, Law firms, Investment banking firms, loan brokers and other professional contacts.  Direct or cold calling efforts may also be used to identify prospects.

· Create and update all prospect and referral source database lists on a continual basis.  Attend trade shows and networking events to increase market presence with potential new customers and referral sources. 

· Make prospect site visits to interested or pre-qualified new customers in order to gather information on the prospect and to solicit the prospect to finance with Affinity Bank.

· Analyze the financial and collateral condition of all prospective customers.  Present a summary analysis to either the Division Manager or Senior Credit Officer of the division in order to make a written financing proposal to the prospective customer.

· Assist the Audit Manager, the Senior Credit Officer and all other staff members in gathering information and scheduling due diligence meetings as requested.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the secured lending environment and changes affecting the healthcare industry.

· Assist in developing new ways to promote the division internally and externally.

· Perform any and all other additional duties as may be assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Must have a minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in selling financial services products for a bank or commercial finance company.  Healthcare industry financing experience is a plus.

 

Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.  Should be self motivated and a self starter that can organize and manage a large market area.  Should demonstrate a strong business knowledge and have professional presentation skills.  Ability to solve credit structuring issues is a plus.  Intermediate proficiency and experience of Microsoft Office products required.

 

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.  Some college level accounting and/or business administration courses or equivalent preferred.  Formal sales and marketing training a must.
