Relationship Management Trainee

Purpose

Learn the process to develop business and manage customer portfolios in a commercial lending environment.  Work closely with Senior Commercial Lender, Business Development Officers, Credit Representatives, and customers to develop sales and credit skills.Key Result Areas

v Learn business of commercial lending

v Assist in business development and portfolio management of commercial lending customers

v Assist Relationship Managers and Senior Bankers in day-to-day portfolio management and business development

v Prepare for development into a Relationship Management/Sales role

v Prepare and maintain customer related documentation and files 

 Principal Responsibilities 

Ø  Interface with Credit Department representatives to help facilitate the loan process

Ø  Assist supervisor with portfolio management including file review and maintenance

Ø  Interact with customers directly regarding past due accounts and to obtain necessary statements/documents

Ø  Attend external seminars to gain knowledge of banking, lending etc.

Ø  Attend business functions and community events along with Bank representatives and customers for Business Development purposes

Ø  Assist in completing documentation necessary for the loan approval process

 Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or Liberal Arts with business courses.Experience 

Internship or seasonal experience in an office environment or banking environment, or some combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
