Sales/Retail/Business Development Experience life at Key Relationship Managers/Personal Bankers - Northern, CO Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Openings in Ft. Collins and Greeley, CO Will serve as a primary point of contact for KeyBank clients. Develops a comprehensive understanding of client needs based on the review and analysis of personal and financial data gathered through the client profile and/or additional information sources. Effectively manages the consumer and small business client relationship by selling and promoting a broad array of financial products and services, while providing pertinent financial information and identifying/referring cross-selling opportunities. Researches and fully understands competitors' strengths/weakness and product offerings/pricing. Meets or exceeds established sales, cross-sell and referral goals. Assists with the coordination of KeyCenter promotions by creating and/or organizing campaign material and determining suitability for specific client segments through a need based sales and marketing approach. Job Functions: o Ensures all components of the Key sales process is used during client interaction o Develops new and expands existing client relationship by participating in business development activities, proactively reviewing client's current and changing financial needs, and promoting products and services o Develops and effectively manages an internal and external Centers of Influence (COI) base with minimum quarterly contact. o Maintains active calling plan for Book of Business clients and prospects (minimum 5 daily) and business calling plan of outside calls (minimum 5 weekly) o Analyzes personal and financial data to deepen current, profitable client relationships o Keeps clients informed of products, services, special promotions, and provides appropriate financial solutions via consultative review and proactive contact o Promotes and cross-sells products and services to profitable clients and partners with Business Banking, Investment sales and other product areas to maximize the relationship o Consistently meets or exceeds individual and KeyCenter goals regardless of economic conditions o Contributes to KeyCenter profitability by participating in KeyCenters initiatives o Actively participates in community organizations for the purpose of sourcing business development opportunities o Mentors Relationship Associates and other KeyCenter employees, as requested o Travels to client meetings or meet with clients on-site at KeyCenter Required: Licensed or Unlicensed o Undergraduate degree in business related field or equivalent professional experience o Minimum of 2-5 years with experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals and building referral sources o Demonstrated strong customer service skills o Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment o Financial services product knowledge o Understands personal and commercial financial statements o Experience with outside calling o General knowledge of commercial lending to small businesses and ability to complete small business basics o A Plus - Licensed Relationship Manager: Hold Series 6 and 63, or Series 7 and 66 securities licenses Competencies for Success: o Drive for results: Can be counted on to exceed goals; is consistently a top performer; very sales and bottom line oriented; pushes self and others for results. o Client Focus: Is dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external clients; gets first-hand client information and uses it to translate needs into sales opportunities; acts with the clients best interest in mind; establishes effective relationships with clients and gains their trust and respect. o Interpersonal Skills: Relates well to all kinds of people; builds appropriate rapport; possesses excellent verbal and presentation skills, uses diplomacy and tact. Negotiation skills: Can negotiate skillfully in tough situation with both internal and external groups; can settle differences with minimum noise; can win concessions without damaging relationships; gains trust quickly of other parties; has a good sense of timing.
