Report Conversion Project - Mainframe - ViewDirect or DocuAnalyzer or Monarch.

Location: San Antonio, TX 78201 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Reference Code: xcp-documentation Excellent Contract Opportunity in San Antonio! Database, Document Repository Conversion Project. Prior Database or Document Repository Conversion experience required. Mainframe exposure required - ISPF, TSO, working knowledge of JCL, understanding of SDSF or IOF, submitting/running jobs, FTP. UNIX - Basic knowledge required – check directories, extract logs, validate file processing.  Solid working knowledge of UNIX commands such as grep, etc. Windows - Basic knowledge, familiarity with XP, MS Office suite 2003, Excel, Access, etc. Database experience required; MS Access experience is preferred.  Experienced in creating databases, running queries, creating reports.  Data analysis using Access or another database. FTP skills are required.  The basics (transferring files from one system to another). Analysis Skills required – The candidate needs to have strong analysis skills, perhaps in Excel, or another tool like DocuAnalyzer or Monarch.  The person needs to be able to compare the Report page counts (in one document repository) for a list of reports to a list of the page counts for the same set of reports in the new repository. Nice to Have Skills:Unix Scripting experience is a plus but not a requirement.  Needs ability to retrieve data from log files for reports. This can be done using the basic UNIX commands. Windows “DocuAnalyzer” or “Monarch” experience – this is a plus, but not a requirement.
