The Senior Living Finance group of Ziegler is seeking a Research Assistant to join its team. In this role, your knowledge and experience will be applied to support Ziegler’s senior living investment banking practice and provide you an opportunity to gain a broad range of experience in senior living.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has three areas of responsibility (with approximate prioritization of time):

 Banker Support – Providing research support to each member of Ziegler’s senior living investment banking team, through development and maintenance of key research tools and information/research requests for clients, prospective clients, and industry professionals (70 percent)Conference Support – Providing assistance in development of education curricula and implementation of conference logistics for the series of educational conferences/workshops sponsored by Ziegler Capital Markets (15 percent)Library/Administrative Support – Providing the administrative support to maintain the Ziegler library of weekly readings, periodicals and research publications; pursuing specific research topics, e.g. technology advances within senior living sector, university affiliations, etc. (15 percent) 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

·         A BA or BS degree (in accounting, finance, or statistics preferred)

·         Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

·         Experience in the senior living sector desired but not required

 

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

·         Highly organized, detail oriented and creative

·         Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, highly pressured work environment

·         Work independently, as well as with a team

·         Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

·         Strong focus on results and meeting clients’ (i.e. Ziegler staff as well as their clients)  needs
