Research Insurance Specialist

At Assurant Specialty Property, the foundation of our organization is built on our core values - integrity, change, urgency and excellence.  We strive to create a culture of engagement, embracing both the minds and the hearts of our associates.  Working closely with financial institutions, mortgage companies and leasing agents, we help our clients protect what's important to their customers: their homes, their personal property, their motor vehicles, and their ability to survive and recover from natural and personal property catastrophes The Research CCO Team is directly responsible for ensuring that all issues reported are investigated and brought to resolution in keeping with Our Client standards and Customer satisfaction.  Specialists in this department are expected to manage the CCO and Correspondence tasks to completion while holding the ability to make clear and concise judgment decisions when determining how to resolve the issue at hand. The ideal candidate will posses' a strong degree of analytical skills while maintaining the ability to managing multiple tasks. Research Specialists, will be directly responsible for assessing and determining what the issue is when receiving a request for research and using many different tactics, such as making calls to customers, agents and clients or pulling existing documentation.  At this point is where you will put on your investigator hat and solve the problem.  Upon resolution, follow up calls or letters will be generated to inform the requesting party of your results. For success in this position, it is crucial that you demonstrate the ability to organize time sensitive information, make sound decisions, poses typing and data entry skills and respond to inquiries with a sense of urgency, meet critical deadlines and handle the daily pressure to deliver results is necessary. This position is Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.  Overtime maybe required weekly and/or Saturday hours as workload demands.   Have you taken a look at our qualifications?  I bet you are a perfect fit!  The ideal candidate will be actively seeking a 2-4 year degree, Bachelor's degree preferred; 1-3 years experience in insurance or customer service (in- bound / out - bound calling is preferred); gained knowledge and experience with insurance related products and services; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to make good decisions; multi-tasked and organized; can navigate effectively utilizing multiple systems; PC Testing using Basic Office Skills and Alpha-Numeric Data Entry and Typing skills; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
