Retail Mortgage Loan Originator/Specialist

As a Loan specialist, your main duty is to solicit mortgage loans from self generated referral sources. Those referral sources typically include, but are limited to: Realtors, builders, Real Estate Attorneys, existing clients, financial planners and Certified Public accountants and other networking avenues. Major Duties and Functions Include: Effect loan sales by soliciting, advising and structuring loans from outside referral sources. Advising prospective borrowers as to appropriate loan programs and processes Understand available MetLife mortgage programs and origination processes Oversee closing of loans by working with assigned processor Assist processors in obtaining required documentation from borrower when needed Maintain contact/lead reporting for submission to manager on a weekly basis. Participate in quarterly planning activities What You Need to Succeed: Multiple self-generated referral sources that are active 5+ years in Retail mortgage originations Experience with automated underwriting systems and on-line pre-qualifying skills (i.e. DU/LP) Strong PC skills Professional, sound judgment and sensitivity to client related issues Strong organizational skills Experience developing and executing targeted marketing and sales plans Jumbo Loan origination experience is required.
