Retail Mortgage Team Lead

As a Market Leader, your main duty is to recruit and manage daily production of a team of Loan specialists to agreed upon volume targets. Major Duties and Functions Include: Identifying potential loan specialist candidates for hiring onto the MetLife Mortgage team Interviewing candidates for suitability and probability for success Managing loan production in his/her market Developing business plans for additions to staff Developing and executing marketing plans for penetrating local mortgage markets Develop understanding of MetLife’s mortgage product suite and process for moving prospects applications through closing Train team members on MetLife’s mortgage product suite and process for moving prospects applications through closing Manage a team of loan specialists on day to day basis (10 Specialists) Oversee closing of loans submitted by team members by working with assigned processor Provide home office with weekly competitive positioning analysis Aggregate team members contact/lead reporting for submission to home office on a weekly basis. Participate in planning activities What You Need to Succeed: Strong understanding of local mortgage market Minimum of Five years experience in mortgage originations Strong interviewing and recruiting skills Experience managing team of loan originators Experience hiring loan originators in local market Experience with automated underwriting systems and on-line pre-qualifying skills (i.e. DU/LP) Strong PC skills Professional, sound judgment and sensitivity to client related issues Strong organizational and reporting skills Experience developing and executing targeted marketing and sales plans Position offers Salary, Commission, Excellent Benefits Package, 401K and Pension Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
