Job ID: 627d Position Title: S & R ExaminerWorking Location: Chicago, ILEmployment Status: Full-TimeRequired Experience: Not IndicatedRequired Education: Not IndicatedTravel Required: 40%Job DescriptionIdentifies and assess significant risks at financial institutionsDetermines the adequacy of risk management systems for mitigating and controlling risksDetermines the effectiveness of management, policies, and procedures, and compliance with laws and regulationsMonitors a portfolio of moderate complexity institutions and provides summary reports on their conditions and changing risksDevelops and recommends supervisory actions and responsesEvaluates financial information and/or other data, procedures, and controls to arrive at sound, supportable conclusionsInterprets information and reviews data in order to make decisions, establish priorities, and develop hypotheses to facilitate the understanding of events as well as makes projections to forecast trendsProvides focused and value added reports and other correspondence to outside stakeholders and internal managementDevelops and maintains ongoing relationships with supervisory personnel at the Board and Reserve Banks, as well as senior management and directors of supervised institutions to ensure thorough communication of examination and supervisory issues to banksParticipates in departmental and system-wide initiatives, including, but not limited to, working with staff from other Reserve Banks, the Board of Governors and other regulatory agencies. Completes other special projects as assignedPlans, directs and coordinates examinations, ongoing supervision, or special projects that most effectively use available resourcesGathers and organizes information, derives sound analysis, conducts thorough and accurate work, supports findings and conclusions, makes recommendations and decisions, and follows-up, as appropriatePrepares and delivers persuasive presentations, including examination and supervisory issues to directors and executivesSuccessfully completes intermediate-level curriculum courses in the Examiner Training CurriculumPerforms other duties as assigned
Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience as noted below5 plus years of direct work related experience without a recognized Examiner’s Commission or 3 plus years of experience managing or auditing in a banking environmentExaminer Commission beneficialCoursework in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or other related field Demonstrates independent thinking and decision-making abilitiesDemonstrates strong written and oral communication abilitiesPossesses and applies both specific and broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the field of specialization to the completion of assignmentsTravel Required Click here to apply:
