We currently have an excellent opportunity in Kansas City, MO for a well qualified professional to develop new SBA business relationships.

Specifically, you will:

•Generate SBA loans, deposits and fee income for the Regional Banking Group
•Work with Branch Managers and Branch sales staff
• Originate and fund SBA loans in a designated area (annual production objectives are generally around $10 million)
•Generate new business through prospecting, outside calling, networking and referrals
• Achieve 100% of established annual production objective (APO) that will be determined at or near the beginning of every year. Achieve at least 20% of the established APO in the first calendar quarter; 25% in the second and third calendar quarters; and 30% in the fourth calendar quarter
•Develop and implement marketing activities
• Expand new and existing customer relationships through cross-selling products and services
•Develop and maintain a referral source database for both local and the bank overall SBA marketing purposes
•Maintain and apply a thorough understanding of the bank’s credit policy, SBA eligibility and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages
•Actively participate in local SBA district functions with assigned marketing area
• Provide management with input regarding current policies and practices
•Assist the bank in the promotion of all product lines offered in assigned market
•Generate loans that maintain an acceptable level of performance
•Assist special assets and credit services in any requested servicing action within assigned marketing area

This position requires:

•A Bachelor’s degree
•3-5 years of calling experience within the financial services industry
•Thorough knowledge of SBA lending rules, regulations and practices.
•Preferred experience: At least 1 year of SBA Business Development or
Underwriting
•Excellent presentation & written/verbal communication skills
•PC Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
