SEA_Credit/Financial Analyst

Position Summary




This position exists to direct the credit activities for the credit organization in accordance within specified guidelines and to perform in depth analysis on all available information related to an established or prospective customer in order to reach a sound credit decision.




Common Essential Duties & Resp.




- Maintains responsibility for applying company’s credit practices and procedures as outlined in department manual

- Analyzes requests for credit in order to ascertain what information and security will be required to arrive at a sound decision

- Determines good risks through trend analysis and industry comparisons

- Plans credit investigations to be performed personally or by others

- Reviews assembled files and reports, analyzes financial statements and supplementary information

- Recommends credit lines for individual accounts and makes all credit arrangements

- Personally handles non routine credit inquiries and correspondence

- Consults immediate superior for advice on particularly complex problems and cases requiring policy decision

- Monitors monthly balances of customers to ensure that balances are within established limits

- Represents the company at creditors’ meetings and bankruptcy proceedings

- Reviews the processes and procedures relating to recorded contracts, use of collateral, insurance claims, lien instruments, and the like

- Prepares and submits periodic operating reports to immediate superior on the status of receivable

- Meets with customer base to review financial status to determine credit risk




Necessary Skills / Attributes




- Minimum of 1-3 years related experience
- College degree with focus on Accounting or Finance
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Understanding the business and market trends which effect our accounts
- Strong analytical skills, the ability to analyze and also interpret the meanings in written and verbal form
- Familiarity with SAP preferred
