If you have strong experience in interactive marketing or design, product management or product development, or software development don't miss this unique opportunity.OverviewThe Online Senior Product Manager is responsible for product development of a major online product and the enhancement of sales and service functions in the online channel, from idea generation through execution, focusing on customer satisfaction and adoption. (A product would be considered major based on risk, complexity, number of customers enrolled, strategic nature, competitive importance, etc.) The incumbent leverages competitive analysis, market research, customer feedback and emerging technologies to accomplish this. Through the use of internal service partners (technology, operations, marketing, etc.) and vendor relationships: (1) bring new products to market and develop enhancements to the shopping/buying experience to drive sales for targeted segments; (2) develop enhancements to servicing capabilities to reduce channel costs. Manage all phases of the project life cycle ensuring speed to market and that budgetary constraints are met.The successful candidate will perform tasks that support sales and service on the web. Create and maintain online capabilities that constantly improve the online shopping and buying experience as well as allow customers to manage their finances (including self-service maintenance, account information and money movement). Design and support marketing programs intended to increase adoption of the web. Define product features, functions, benefits, pricing and service. Must be integrated with offline distribution and product organizations. Work with technology partners (internal as well as vendors), at times leading projects, to implement feature/function. Remain current on industry and competitive landscape. More experienced individuals may represent PNC on industry organizations' committees and/or partner-organization user groups. All activities support goals of increased customer satisfaction and adoption of the online channel. Essential Functions § Manage large-scale new product development and more significant product enhancements to establish or maintain strategic competitive position and attain financial and customer adoption objectives. Large-scale development or enhancement efforts would be those with higher levels of risk, complexity, number of customers enrolled, strategic nature and competitive importance. Work with the distribution and product organizations as well as technology and operations to ensure alignment.§ Lead large-scale product enhancements or large-scale product development efforts in online channel. Large-scale project management is a reflection of length of time to implement, size of the team, criticality and complexity of the product or feature, level of risk and customer impact.§ Manage larger, more strategic vendor relationships. The importance of a vendor would be determined by a number of factors including annual spend, customer impact of an extended technology outage or business problem, importance to PNC overall (relationship with other LOBs), competitive position in the market and ease of switching. Influence vendor strategies and understand vendor technology roadmaps and product plans to recommend PNC enhancements. Lead RFP and vendor selection process, including negotiations. Represent PNC at vendor conferences and user groups or participate as a member of an advisory council. Leverage vendor relationships across PNC.§ Develop holistic strategies that position PNC as the leading provider of online products and services to targeted segments. Develop a clear customer value proposition and own a product roadmap that supports it as well as considers emerging technologies and the competitive landscape. These plans support PNC’s positioning, market share, sales, customer satisfaction, customer adoption and profit objectives.§ Continuously survey and analyze competitive positioning, industry landscape, emerging technologies and customer demand. Keep abreast of industry benchmarks and relevant metrics. Ensure that the online channel is highly competitive for shopping and buying as well as for servicing/money movement.§ Execute strategies and tactics that are aligned with overall profitability goals. Initiatives should largely be in support of generating revenue (acquisition, growth, retention, fees, balance augmentation) or reducing cost to acquire and serve.§ Assess business risks on a regular basis. Participate in risk management-related initiatives including, but not limited to Regulation E, FFIEC authentication, Business Resiliency, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.§ As required, perform additional duties that can include, but are not limited to M&A due diligence, special projects, sales support, problem resolution and other tasks.
