Senior Vice President, Risk Management  Primary Responsibilities Include:·  Providing strategic direction and tactical leadership in managing the division's risk exposure on all matters related to the division's business (including, but not limited to, loan quality, fraud and loss mitigation) and with regard to the quality of loans to which the division commits·  Serving as a divisional resource in staying abreast of and incorporating (on a best-practices basis) the latest industry trends and methodologies in the area of risk management·  Helping to establish and implement appropriate policies, procedures and practices by which to strengthen internal operations and thereby minimize Countrywide's risk and exposure·  Shaping strategic initiatives with a technology emphasis to support long range growth for the division·  Working in close collaboration with senior divisional staff and office managers·  Partnering with Countrywide's corporate legal and other professional staff (e.g. internal audit) and with appropriate external consultants to protect Countrywide's interests·  Representing the division at external conferences and with appropriate clients and constituents·  Managing, motivating, training, developing and evaluating professional staff·  Completing special projects at the direction of senior executive management  A Successful Candidate Will Have:·  Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing, or a related subject or equivalent experience·  Extensive knowledge of the mortgage and financial services industry and technology trends, specific trends in the correspondent lending field, and current economic events·  Specialized, expert-level knowledge of correspondent mortgage banking and related accounting, technological and operational practices which provide benchmarks for the industry·  Detail-orientation, especially with legal documentation·  Proficiency in software such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Excel, etc. ·  Effective verbal and written communication skills, including stand-up presentation skills·  Expert knowledge of the laws regulating mortgage banking and financial services·  Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA and other industry standards as they relate to correspondent lending practices, processes and procedures·  Minimum of 15 years of managerial experience in mortgage banking, including risk management, planning, technology development and implementation/management of senior staff, or equivalent experience  The Ideal Candidate May Also Possess:·  CPA certification·  MBA  Countrywide is committed to leveraging the talent of a diverse workforce to create great opportunities for our business and our people.
