Summary of Position:
The Sales Assistant for Private Wealth Management supports the Managing Directors and team by  handling client requests/concerns, performing various administrative duties, coordinating with different parties needed to approve and execute transactions, and interfacing with back office operations. The Sales Assistant will provide support to more than one person.

Responsibilities:

 

·  Answer phones and serve as point of contact for outside clients in order to ensure prompt and timely responses and to ensure efficiency of communications.  This includes prompt execution and reporting of trades, familiarity with portfolio objectives, as well as recent reports from the FBR Research team

·  Coordinate with different parties needed to approve and execute restricted stock sales and stock option exercises

·  Maintain multiple excel spreadsheets relating to deal participation and trading activity

·  Mailing of monthly and quarterly performance reports to investors and interested parties

·  Open brokerage accounts and maintain organized files of all required documentation

·  Create and maintain hard copy and electronic filing systems

·  Perform various administrative duties including but not limited to: phone coverage, travel arrangements, completing expense reports, preparing mailings, maintaining electronic and hard copy files, binding presentations, faxing and copying

 

Requirements:  

 

·  General knowledge of securities industry and customer service experience preferred

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·  Ability to express ideas effectively and fluently. Ability to be discreet and courteous with clients

·  Strong organization and time-management skills.  Demonstrated ability to set appropriate priorities and handle complex issues with careful attention to detail

·  Strong customer focus

·  Must demonstrate commitment to department and external clients

·  Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

·  Series 7, 63, & 65 licenses preferred

·  Knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, databases, presentation software and Internet.  Proficiency in MS Office:  Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required

·  Bachelor’s degree required
