Job Description
This position is responsible for data entry work which involves entering detailed information into an on-line system designed to make scanned documents available on the FRASER web site.

Job Duties
Data entry work involving entering information into an on-line system designed to make scanned documents (in PDF) available on the FRASER web site. Additionally, the position requires some quality control work to ensure that the scanned documents are complete and legible when posted on the site. Other responsibilities may include the processing of raw, scanned documents through an OCR application to create the PDF files that are ultimately posted on the web site. And the position may require the person to take documents or publications and prepare them for scanning (such as the removing of bindings or staples etc.)

Essential Skills
Familiarity with or experience with Adobe Acrobat and/or Microsoft Excel would be a definite plus. This employee will primarily be working with a web-based data entry system, but will be required to simultaneously use Acrobat. Using Acrobat may include the manipulation of files (e.g. extracting, inserting pages). In addition, the employee may be asked to use ABYY FineReader OCR application to create PDF's.
