Advanced degree in business.Job Description:Critical for success will be an understanding of the process lifecycle of the businesses’ products (both on the equity and debt side of the business including derivatives and structured finance transactions) from origination through trade settlement and subsequent P/L calculationsBring a holistic business view of risk including operational, market, credit, and reputational risk to assure a cultural embracement and embeddedness by the business. This is to be accomplished by demonstrating businesses acumen. Lead the interaction between Risk Management and the business by creating an atmosphere of risk dialogue that involves all relevant stakeholders, identifies and understands key risks undertaken by the business and makes informed decisions about risk-return relationships.Partner with the business in the development of business strategies and short term tactics to achieve these strategies in a manner which fits the businesses declared risk tolerances. In this role will support new business initiatives from concept to implementation to assure identification and mitigation of inherent and differentiated risks in a manner that optimizes the risk reward equation in a predictable fashion. Respond to internal and environmental risks as they emerge and or are realized. Assure effective response / mitigation and transparency to risk events and coordinate root cause analysis. Develop preemptive mitigation strategies as emerging risks are identified.Assure the businesses’ identification of key risk issues within the trading processes by identifying key risks across each risk category, identify and assess the control environment, identify potential risk/control gaps and assess residual risk. Drive alignment of business resources and support teams to assess and implement business risk mitigation strategies and assures the development of key performance indicators to monitor performance on an ongoing basis.Working with Corporate Risk Management to ensure adequacy and effective application of a risk management framework. Initiates, manages, and completes special projects that support the strategic objectives of the Risk Management organization by facilitating the interaction between the Risk Management organization and businesses.
