Job Description
Senior Clerks are synonymous with customer service representatives. They serve as the point of contact for our customers, which includes over 10,000 financial institutions, the IRS, the United States Treasury, and the other Federal Reserve Banks. As a Senior Clerk, you are required to have a complete understanding of our tax collection systems to assist customers and have the ability to use various PC desktop tools to provide premier customer service and consider what is in the best interest of our customers. **NOTE: The individual in this position will work on the TIP and PATAX applications which are expected to phase out over the next two years.

Job Duties
• Provide customer support via phone to financial institutions, federal agencies and other Federal Reserve Banks • Process adjustments initiated by the IRS and/or financial institutions • Maintain legal agreements and other important documentation in our electronic storage system• Fulfill audit/statement requests from financial institutions and proactively contact institutions who may not have received their automated statements• Perform closure and balancing of the various systems within the unit• Consult management when dealing with highly unusual adjustment cases, and when institutions request waivers on penalties

Essential Skills
• High School diploma or equivalent degree and/or experience. • 1 year or more experience in customer service or operations experience. • Familiarity navigating through various PC applications including, but not restricted to, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office • Familiarity with fax machine and copier • Ability to use time management skills to handle a variety of duties and responsibilities • Good verbal and written communication skills in order to articulate information to management and customers • Become knowledgeable in tax collection business and develop proficiency in tax applications • Willingness to adjust work schedule to accommodate overtime to balance and close TT&L applications • Develop a working knowledge of Treasury Support Center customer service tools • Demonstrated ability to use tact and diplomacy and maintain a positive working relationship with management, co-workers and customers
