Senior Commercial Credit Analyst/Underwriter

Senior Commercial Analyst/Underwriter is responsible for analyzing risk for business customers with high account balances. Provide consultation/support to the dept manager and director on projects, initiatives, target assessments/validation and metrics development; including International segments. Provide operational leadership in the absence of the manager/director. Assist in the day to day Commercial Loan Underwriter training, direction, planning and guidance as delegated by the manager for new hire as well as tenured Underwriters. Provide excellent thought leadership and deliver solutions to build/grow the business. Consistently meet or exceed underwriting goals and maintain a high standard of credit portfolio quality. Demonstrate excellent judgmental credit decisions, perform complete commercial credit risk analysis and implement identified process improvements on an ongoing basis. Build partnerships/relationships across all segments of the business and leverage/influence best practices while maintaining a platform of diplomacy and tact. QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a minimum of five years of commercial or business lending experience along with strong credit underwriting skills. Excellent analytical, financial and organizational skills with a high aptitude for problem solving. Excellent understanding of business financial statements and a familiarity with financial risk models. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills are a must. Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to multi task efficiently and work on ad-hoc projects as needed. Proven mastery of Microsoft programs, desktop resources and mainframe functional as well as support systems. A bachelor's degree in Business/Finance is preferred. Must be unaffected by pressure of working under deadlines and have excellent time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
