Primary Objective of Position: Oversees and develops commercial loan portfolio.Essential Responsibilities: · Develop new depository and commercial loan relationships and enhance existing customer relationships· Analyzes the credit history of applicants and determines their loan repayment capabilities.· Negotiates credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications.· Develops and maintains interest rate structure to be consistent with financial institution policies and procedures, and to be competitive with current market rates.· Evaluates potential customer loan requests and makes loan recommendations to loan committee.· Keeps abreast of new laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial institution.· Assist in ensuring departmental compliance with BSA / AML / OFAC rules.· Develops new client prospects and business for the financial institution.· Provides assistance and may recommend training for less senior commercial loan officers. Job Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent work experience. · Minimum 6 years Commercial Lending experience Knowledge and Skills: · Sales and networking ability to generate new business. · Extensive knowledge of commercial lending policies and procedures. · Excellent financial analytical abilities. · Ability to meet or exceed goals set by management. · Ability to use good judgement in the handling of problem situations. · Highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently. Detail oriented in order to generate accurate and precise work. · Excellent communication and negotiation skills. · Ability to prepare loan write-up and seek loan approval via effective presentation to Loan Committee, if loan size requires. · Ability to collaborate with other team members to structure the most effective deal for the client and the Bank. · Position has signing authority based on experience and title assigned by Board (i.e. Senior Vice President, Vice President.)Contacts: Titles of people with whom this position regularly interacts with both inside and outside the company.· Regular contact with commercial clients. · Regular contact with support staff to include Credit Analyst, Loan Administration, and Loan Operations to assist in proper analyses and loan documentation. · Regular contact with other employees including executive, managers and supervisors. · Regular contact with business members of the community and the general public. · Regular contact with Chief Credit Officer.Email MS Word Resume to -- Tracey L.
