Senior Financial /Budget Analyst

Purpose

Provide detailed analysis, reporting, forecasts and resultant trends and conclusions regarding actual financial performance to budget, to prior periods and to peers ranging from total Corporate performance to segment, product and unit performance.  Provide various financial analysis of acquisition opportunities, participate in due diligence process.Key Result Areas

v Timely, accurate, documented and detailed analysis of monthly financial results compared to budget

v Preparation of the annual budget including all detailed schedules and supporting reports for review by Senior Management and the Board of Directors.

v Serve as backup for Asset/Liability forecasts utilizing financial modeling and the Asset/Liability software; prepare reports and analysis as required by management.

v Provide detailed roll forward analysis of all balance sheet items on a monthly basis.

v Prepare monthly analysis of regulatory capital, total capital, shares outstanding and book value.

v Prepare various analysis of expenses including efficiency ratios.

 Scope of Job

Ø  Responsible for financial analysis, related reporting and ongoing review financial results.  Preparation of the budget.  Utilize financial modeling, including Asset/Liability model for forecasting and analysis. 

 

 

 

 

Principal Responsibilities

Ø  provide timely analysis of actual financial performance compared to budget on a monthly basis

Ø  Analyze monthly financial statements, rate-volume analysis and other selected financial data as requested by management

Ø  Prepare and analyze loan and deposit trends, deferred loan fees reports and profitability analysis

Ø  Serve as backup for preparation of forecasts utilizing Asset/Liability model and other software.

Ø  Prepare and provide analysis of actual financial performance to peers on a quarterly basis.

Ø  Prepare monthly roll-forward analysis of all assets, liabilities and equity.

Ø  Responsible for updating and maintaining Accounting policies and procedures within job scope.

Ø  Prepare monthly analysis of efficiency ratio, regulatory capital and total capital.

Ø  Prepare and analyze shares outstanding and book value per share reports.

Ø  Develop and maintain software tools to be used for analysis of acquisition opportunities including financial forecasts, capital management and ROI.

Ø  Provide other analysis or reports as requested by management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.  CPA, MBA or CFA a plus. Experience 

Eight or more years of general accounting, auditing or analysis responsibilities.  Banking experience preferred.
