Senior Information Security Engineer - Lynn

As a key member of our Information Security team, this individual will: Develop and coordinate security & network architecture standards for the Technology Infrastructure Program. Align the architectural and technical designs with the business objectives. Identify and document network requirements for multiple vendor/multiple component/multiple topology projects. Set direction for network technology platforms that is in line with security architectural principles. Coordinate multiple integrated network designs and implementations consistent with established design standards. Plan and track multiple large and/or complex projects and communicates status to management and project teams. Effectively develop and present major reports or presentations (e.g., white papers, discussion documents) that have substantial technical or business impact, internally or externally. Communicate with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences, internally and externally. Interface with network and system engineers for implementation assistance and troubleshooting. Required SkillsExpert-level understanding of networking protocols and principles involving TCP/IP and the OSI model.Experience with Network Security Design, Engineering and Implementation.Thorough understanding security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, Authentication/Authorization/Accounting (AAA), anti-virus and Intrusion Detection.Familiarity with network analyzers, such as tcpdump, ethereal, etc. Demonstrated ability to analyze & recover from network intrusions and security incidents.Strong understanding of WAN/Broadband (T1, DS3, ISDN, DSL and ATM) and LAN topologies (Ethernet, 802.11b), as well as IP routers, hubs, switches and common routing protocolsExcellent written and oral communications skillsDemonstrated experience managing multiple, related projects with multiple customers.Outstanding interpersonal skills. Experience in large scale enterprise and service provider networks. Strong knowledge ofProject Management methodologies.Experience with Cisco Hardware a plus.Technology experience related to Financial and Insurance industries a plus.Required ExperienceCollege degree or equivalent plus at least 7 years working as a senior network engineer/architect Security certifications such as SANS GCIA or CISSP required. MSCE a plus and given preferred consideration in addition to Security certifications.
