Senior Instructional Designer/Developer

The Senior Instructional Designer/Developer is responsible for the assessment, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of practical and engaging training programs including training development for software platforms, classroom training for specific jobs skills, soft skills development, meeting modules, self studies and other distance learning modules. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Designs, develops, implements, and evaluates complex training programs. - Collaborates with Business Partners to assess needs and develops appropriate solutions to performance needs. - Provides regular maintenance assessment, working with Business Partners, and implements necessary changes and/or enhancements to programs and materials to maintain content accuracy and currency. - Creates timeline for assessment, design, development, implementation and evaluation phases of training initiatives to ensure appropriate deployment to meet business requirements. - Provides excellent customer service at all points of customer contact internally and externally. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. - Five to seven years of instructional design and training development experience required. - Requires computer proficiency to create templates, design graphics, and training materials (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Paintshop Pro or equivalent graphics program e.g. Corel or Adobe). - Must have extensive knowledge and understanding of training and adult learning concepts, theories, team building and needs analysis. - Must possess time management, organizational skills and interpersonal skills. - Requires ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization (front line associates to senior management). - Ability to develop a wide range of training programs from systems platforms, classroom and soft skills to job specific skills and distance learning.
