CITY/STATE: Melrose Park, ILPOSITION TYPE: Full Time, EmployeeJOB CATEGORY: Banking/Real Estate/Mortgage ProfessionalsEDUCATION LEVEL: High School or equivalent Senior Loan Documentation Specialist Primary job functions are: Pre-funding and/or processing documentation for loan package submissions; manage the distribution and completion of loan documentation requests for Commercial Real Estate and Consumer Loan Documentation; prepare tracking reports, assist in management and training of Loan Documentation Specialists.Essential Functions: Pre-fund and/or prepare loan documents for loan transactions within existing Loan Policy and Procedure guidelines. Under the direction of the Loan Documentation Department manager, manage the distribution and processing of loan documents by processors so that loan packages are completed correctly and within Loan Documentation Department procedures requirements, especially turn-around requirements. Review loan documentation packages to make sure they are accurate, complete and correct. Communicate with loan officers, loan administrative personnel and loan documentation staff concerning any issues, documentation omissions or problems concerning the credit request.  The Senior Loan Documentation Specialist is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert on loan documentation issues. Keep abreast of bank policies and procedures as well as compliance law to ensure that documents are being completed properly.  Answer questions relating to the above and LaserPro requirements as posed by Loan Processing staff. File and track Uniform Commercial Code documents. Help manage and develop staff, including providing input on performance, for inclusion in performance reviews.Qualifications: 5 years commercial loan documentation experience, including knowledge of commercial and consumer loan documentation and collateral perfection within LaserPro loan documentation software Knowledge of legal and UCC lending requirements Focused on excellence in customer service Leadership skills to help staff and delegate work assignments Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Positive, professional image Flexible, able to travel for training and meetings Our client is a recognized banking organization looking for a professional with experience in the commercial lending arena.
