Senior Marketing Project Manager

This position supports the Medicare product lines of business at Blue Shield of
California’s San Francisco headquarters. This position is responsible for
project managing the development, production, execution and analysis of
advertising programs designed to support lead generation for the direct sales
channel.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring marketing project budgets and
reconciling expenses, vendor management, evaluating present/past campaign
results and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Participate in quarterly and annual planning and develop strategies and tactics
that effectively meet business goals and objectives of the Medicare Direct Sales
Channels and Marketing team.
Manage the development, production and execution of advertising creative.
Leverage consumer insight, product benefits, key features and market conditions
to develop and execute tactical plans and performance metrics to new and
existing programs.
Understand and translate consumer and channel needs into strategic marketing
messaging and acquisition program tactics. Assist with the development of
creative briefs and messaging strategy.
Create and distribute campaign performance reporting to sales and marketing
management teams.
Provide analytical and tactical support, and performance reporting.
Interface with key internal and external business and other cross-functional
departments in the development of advertising and marketing materials and the
execution of marketing programs and acquisition campaigns.
Provide oversight of third party relationships.
Bachelor's degree and three years marketing experience or equivalent combination
of education and experience.
Understanding of profit/loss accountability, market analysis and research.
Good planning, organizational, interpersonal and written/verbal communication
skills.
Knowledge of insurance products, functions, and marketing/service policies and
procedures.
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access database software skills required.
Understanding of direct advertising practices including, print and broadcast
media, creative and print production, online, and sales operations.
Knowledge of Medicare and/or Senior marketplace a plus.
Prior collateral/advertising material production experience required.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills – able to apply data results to
recommend actionable strategies and tactics.
Excellent project management skills, strategy implementation and tactical
skills.
Ability to lead meetings. work independently, and prioritize and handle multiple
deadlines, and work in a team environment.
