Senior Mortgage Underwriter

Clinton Savings Bank is looking for the best residential real estate underwriting talent available in the Central Massachusetts market.  We have a terrific opportunity for a seasoned Senior Mortgage Underwriter that is ready to hit the ground running.

 

We need a well rounded professional who will review, analyze and approve residential real estate applications to policy within scope of authority in accordance with Bank policy and secondary market guidelines. This includes construction, purchase, refinance loans, and home equity lines of credit and loans. This individual will handle complex loan deals at higher lending authority and will present same to the Loan Committee. The position requires strong analytical skills, sound credit decisions in order to achieve credit quality, growth and service objectives. 

 

The Qualified Candidate Profile includes:

 

·  Five + years experience underwriting residential mortgage loans to secondary market guidelines in a U.S. federally regulated bank or credit union. Non banking experience will not be considered.

·  Associates Degree required, Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferably in business and/or finance preferred.

·  Demonstrated knowledge of current secondary market guidelines and related federal and state banking and lending regulations, requirements and processes

·  Thorough knowledge of residential real estate loan criteria, documentation and requirements; credit and financial statement review and analysis; mortgage lending and operations;

·  High degree of motivation and professionalism that is demonstrated in a passion for work, a strong, positive attitude and excellent relationship-building skills.
