JOB DESCRIPTION:

Analyzing risk, underwriting credit and structuring appropriately for a broad array of debt financing transactions, including early stage venture debt, growth capital, working capital (asset-based) and acquisitions.  Sourcing of opportunities includes syndications, participations, and direct deals.  Skilled in monitoring credit and managing risk exposure.  Responsible for a broad range of client relationships.  Develops new business independently.  Monitors and maintains portfolio of credits to include credit servicing, loan renewals, customer calling, review of audit and collateral trend results, and detection of early warning signals.  Closes the deal and wins relationships from competitors.  Highly skilled financial engineer.  Skilled negotiator.  Leads team of Relationship Managers and Associates.  Takes a leadership role in the business community.  Recruits and interviews staff.  Makes hiring recommendations.  Manages workload of the team. 

 



SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Financial modeling analysis.  Demonstrated ability to analyze, negotiate and manage complex credit transactions.  Maintains an extensive network of business contacts, including the venture community, other community leaders and executive management of clients, prospects and referral sources. 

Internal and external business leader.  Able to handle the most complex transactions and warrant negotiations.  Proficient in Word, Excel, and Internet for research. Knowledge of loan documentation for secured transactions.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Well developed verbal and written communication skills.  12+ years of commercial lending or related experience.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
