RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide consistent quality customer service to both internal and external customers that meets or exceeds Sovereign's goals

· Assist in story development, writing assignments, design and production

· Assist in writing press releases, e-mails, position statements, responsive statements, letter speeches and communication plans

· Work closely with the Community Relations Leader to promote Sovereign’s community initiatives both internally and externally.

· Other assignments as requested.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent

· 3 years experience in Communications or related experience

· Experience in publication

· Experience in news gathering, news writing, press relations, and public relations

· Strong written and oral communications skills

· Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external contacts a must

· Proven ability to interact with leadership
